1) Ray and Jay slept until 7.45am
2) Jay told me repeatedly that I was a "good mummy" and Gerard a "good daddy". This is how he conveys to us that he is really enjoying himself and feeling happy.
3) Ray told me that I am "very very kind" when I told her that as soon as we got enough money together (and it could be a while) to replace this old pc, I would let her and the boys have it for playing cbeebies and sesame street games on.
4) Baby D is babbling more every day. I love to hear his ga ga's and da da's as he tries to communicate with us. And his smiles could just melt your heart.
5) We took a lovely family walk, noses were very runny and the tissues were never far from hand. But we picked flowers and berries, played sword fights, watched the horses and even discussed life and death (very philosophical) while visiting an old graveyard.
6) We ate Ice Cream, and watched the boats in the marina as the sun shone and the water glistened.
7) We played football and tag with Ray and Jay outside Gerards mums house. The kids loved it and its been a while since we have been able to enjoy real outdoor play. You could hear their laughter ringing out all over the street.
8) Gerard spent ages playing the Disney Princess Memory Card game with Ray and Jay. I thought he was being too ambitious, but Ray picked it up really quickly (even beating Gerard a few times), and I adapted the game to make it easier for Jay. They both enjoyed the game enormously and Jay focused for much longer than he normally would on one activity.
9) It was lovely to see Jay cuddling up to his granny for a few moments while he watched Dora The Explorer. The wee man never sits still, so this was a rare moment, and one which granny thoroughly enjoyed.
10) Looking at all three of our babies sleeping faces in the car on the way back home, Gerard and I shared a smile and wondered at our beautiful family.
Days like today are the stuff that memories are made of!
